Celebrity Cellulite

Celebrity Cellulite - Which Celebrities Have Cellulite?

While many people seem to think that cellulite is a condition that only affects average, everyday people, it is interesting to discover that many celebrities have cellulite of their own.

Celebrity cellulite is a very popular topic in gossip magazines and many Internet blogs and websites, and there is plenty of evidence to support the fact that celebrity cellulite is a very real phenomenon. If it can affect such megastars, then it is not surprising that so many everyday women struggle with it as well. From Cindy Crawford to Mariah Carey, there are plenty of examples of celebrity cellulite to take note of.

Mischa Barton Cellulite

The actress Mischa Barton - best known for her role in the now-defunct but very popular television series The OC - is considered by many to be a true style icon. Mischa Barton is routinely pictured in fashion magazines always donned in the latest designer trends – all the while displaying an ample amount of her celebrity cellulite. Insiders attribute Mischa’s cellulite to her smoking, but in a world of fast-food and lack of exercise, the culprit could be either. Indeed, many people consider Mischa Barton to be the poster child for celebrity cellulite, and many magazines have been downright voracious in the attention they have paid to this vivid example of celebrity cellulite.

Cindy Crawford Cellulite

By many people's standards, Cindy Crawford is one of the most beautiful women on the planet; she’s seemingly reached supermodel status effortlessly, and has been in fashion magazines and TV commercials looking almost flawless. Imagine the shock, then, when recent pictures emerged showing her with an ample amount of celebrity cellulite on her once-sculpted body. Although Cindy Crawford has had two children - and is in her forties - people still expect her to be immune to the reach of celebrity cellulite somehow. She obviously isn't, though; Cindy Crawford’s apparent celebrity cellulite should make regular women everywhere feel a little bit less envious.

Mariah Carey Cellulite

When making an appearance on a popular German television show, Mariah Carey stunned and dismayed many of her fans by displaying a surprising amount of celebrity cellulite on her once-toned thighs. The Internet was abuzz with the news, and pictures of Mariah's celebrity cellulite flooded countless websites and blogs. Although she is primarily known and respected for her incredible vocal range, Mariah is still held to the impossible standards of Hollywood, and her glaring case of celebrity cellulite put a black mark against her in many people's eyes - but also proved to many others that she is human, after all.

Best Cellulite Cream

Despite their fame and their unlimited financial resources, women like Cindy Crawford, Mischa Barton and Mariah Carey have been caught showing their celebrity cellulite. A good cellulite cream like RevitaShape, for most women, can be a cure-all for unsightly cellulite.

Home Remedies for Cellulite

Home Remedies for Cellulite

Many women want sexy smooth legs, but cannot afford the expensive operations, procedures, or prescribed medications necessary to attain them. For women who do not have thousands of dollars to blow towards self beautification, other affordable options exist to melt away cellulite.

Home remedies for cellulite are cost efficient, and can aid in trimming down cellulite located on the thighs, butt, or arms.

Home Remedies for Cellulite: Coffee Ground Massage

One of the most available home remedies for cellulite is an item few people would guess. It is not uncommon for people to start their day off with some fresh coffee, which also happens to be a common ingredient in many cellulite reduction products.

This home remedy is easy to use, and offers minor aid in reducing cellulite. Just brew a pot of coffee, take out the used and damp grounds, and massage the grounds into areas affected by cellulite. After thoroughly massaging in the grounds, wrap the areas with cellophane, aiding vegetable oil to reduce friction. With only a handful of used grounds, coffee is a good home remedy for cellulite.

Home Remedies for Cellulite: Salt Water Bath

Baths are a great way to relax after a hard day, and with just two cups of sea salt, offers another valid home remedy for cellulite. Just prepare a warm bath, add two cups of sea salt, then kick back and relax for at least twenty minutes in your soothing concoction.

A classic home remedy for cellulite for quite some time, salt water baths exfoliate the skin, slightly increasing circulation throughout the body. Increased circulation helps to fend off excessive cellulite by carting away more toxins and waste, helping to reduce cellulite. A relaxing home remedy for cellulite, salt water baths are good options for stressed out or busy people.

Home Remedies for Cellulite: Soft Tissue/Full Body Massages

Everybody loves a good massage now and then. The soft manipulation of skin tissue helps relaxation, while also improving circulation and ridding the body of toxins and fluids. This home remedy uses tissue manipulation to achieve results, and also slightly aids cell metabolism, all of which leads to less cellulite.

Massages reduce stress, helping to make skin healthier and muscles loose. Whether given by a professional or a loved one, massages are a great home remedy for cellulite, offering relaxation and affordability.

Best Remedy for Cellulite

Though these home remedies for cellulite offer some slight benefits to improve the skin, and reduce cellulite, they only partially aid cellulite reduction, and are rather ineffective against excessive amounts of cellulite.

The best remedy for cellulite on the market today is a cellulite cream with ingredients such as caffeine, Bladderwrack extract, and Vitamin C.

Caffeine helps to drain fluids in between cells, and activates cell metabolism, reducing the fat cells that cause cellulite.

Bladderwrack drains excess fluid between cells, while Vitamin C vastly improves circulation and helps synthesize collagen.

Most home remedies for cellulite aid slightly, but cellulite creams enriched with these key ingredients can vastly reduce cellulite.

Endermologie Cellulite Treatment

Endermologie Cellulite Treatment

Due to the demand for an effective cellulite treatment, scientist and surgeons have created several methods focused on getting rid of cellulite that accumulates on the butts, thighs, and arms of men and women.

Many cellulite reduction practices use surgical techniques, extracting fat from the body, or offer some “wonder drug”, which when taken daily is suppose to reduce cellulite. Other popular non-surgical methods include mesotherapy, or the more commonly used Endermologie cellulite treatment.

What is Endermologie?

Endermologie cellulite treatment is a non-surgical procedure, which targets the subcutaneous fat layer, rolling and folding the tissue, eventually working away cellulite. With the use of a motorized Endermologie machine, equipped with two adjustable rollers attached to a suction hose, Endermologie treatment involves a deep massage of the skin, causing the skin to fold and unfold continuously, mobilizing the deep tissue – often with discomfort to the patient. When the viscosity of the subcutaneous tissue is decreased, blood flow and drainage are improved, eliminating excessive amounts of flood and promoting healthier cellular activity.

The Endermologie Machine

The Endermologie machine is essentially a suction hose adorned with two deep tissue rollers attached to a large base. These rollers attached to the Endermologie machine are the tools used to roll and massage the skin in an Endermologie cellulite treatment. By maneuvering the rollers along trouble spots and using the suction hose to pick up debris like dead and loose skin.

Despite these supposed results, these machines can create some startling side effects and risk. The forces generated by these machines have never been measured, creating a cause for alarm, while continuous folding of the tissue can lead to possible damage, requiring medical attention. The abrasive nature of the machine can cause life-long visual damage to the skin

Endermologie Study with Pigs

Though multiple clinical studies have been conducted to figure out the legitimacy of Endermologie cellulite treatment, the most informative was conducted by the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Using pigs as test subjects, the researchers conducted Endermologie treatments on the pigs, to measure the health effects and effectiveness of the treatment method.

Upon compiling the data, researchers were immediately confused by their findings. Though the pigs showed skin improvement, they could not attribute it to any medical reason or ideology. Endermologie cellulite treatments allegedly break up fat and aid in the development of new blood vessels and enhanced circulation; however no evidence of these improvements were found during the study.

Endermologie as a Cellulite Treatment

While positive results are noted by uses of Endermologie on an individual bases, researchers agree that the Endermologie cellulite treatment is still an undeveloped method, offering no real medical advantages. The primary concern pertains to the force of the rollers on the subcutaneous tissue, which have yet to be studied or measured, and undoubtedly causing a high level of discomfort to the person receiving the treatment.

Also, the Endermologie pig experiment showed no medical reasoning or health benefits related to Endermologie treatments. Results largely rely on the Endermologie machine operator (who is often not a medical doctor, but assistant), and the style and force used during treatment.

Endermologie does not aid in blood vessel growth or break up fat as advertised, and treatments must be conducted twice a week for up to fifteen weeks before results are visible. With the lack of knowledge surrounding this procedure, Endermologie cellulite treatment does not appear to be a wise or healthy option to get rid of cellulite.

Butt and Thighs Cellulite Removal

Butt and Thigh Cellulite Removal

Many women suffer self-esteem issues from unsightly cellulite on their butts or thighs, having trouble ridding themselves of excessively stored fat in these regions. Though most connect cellulite with being obese or extremely overweight, the truth is all types of women (and even men) ranging from models, celebrities, athletes, or stay at home moms deal with the burden of cellulite.

Causes of Cellulite

Since every type of woman with every type of physical figure can suffer from visible cellulite, the collection of stored fat on the butt and thighs obviously has nothing to do with obesity or weight. Cellulite is viewable as dimples, bumps, and bulges on the skin, that are caused by quite a few different factors. When the bands of connective tissue surrounding fat cells are stretched to their maximum level, cellulite is formed.

Essentially the bands harden after they have been severely stretched, making the skin less flexible. When the tissue continues to expand due to water or weight gain, it cannot be spread evenly, since the skin is already stretched beyond its natural capacity. With the help of overly stretched skin, water retention, poor digestion, poor circulation, and poor diet, accumulation of cellulite on the butt and thighs occurs.

Cellulite on the Butt

As previously stated, cellulite is created when the skin is overly stretched, causing the inability to evenly distribute additional water or weight. Skin losses its bounce whenever circulation is limited, causing cells to die due to lack of nutrition. Cellulite on the butt can develop due to simple actions, such as sitting down for extended periods of time, crouching, or even staying in a bent over position for a length of time. All these actions hinder the blood flow to the butt, allowing connective tissue to harden over time, eventually resulting in noticeable cellulite.

Cellulite on the Thighs

Much like the butt, thighs are victim to the same rules of biology. Decreased circulation causes cellulite in the thigh region the same way it does butt cellulite, by allowing bands of tissue to harden from lack of nutrients, resulting in pesky cellulite.

Actions such as crossing the legs for long stretches of time, or wearing stockings almost every day restricts the blood flow to the thighs, though it takes some time to wear down the connective tissue. Remembering to keep good posture, with the legs in a straight and comfortable position, and wearing less restrictive clothing can help to reduce cellulite on the thighs slightly; however time makes victims of us all.

Cellulite Removal Options

Though some people use plastic surgery or mesotherapy to reduce cellulite on the butt and thighs, the best known product available is still a cellulite cream. Most are packed with healthy ingredients which activate the metabolism in fat cells.

A good cellulite cream steps it up another notch, adding ingredients which help improve circulation and fluid drainage, like caffeine, ensuring quick and noticeable improvements. An effective cellulite cream can stop both the results and effects of cellulite, ensuring quality results, easy application, and a reasonable price.
